Twelve years of continuous innovation, built around the customer experience.
Since 2014, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside Barbican Architectural Products, supporting their growth through continuous development, strategic planning, and digital innovation. Rather than treating the website as a one-time project, we’ve approached it as an evolving business tool—redesigning the website six times to meet changing customer needs and business goals.
What began as a WordPress website eventually evolved into something much larger. As Barbican’s product catalogue, customer requirements, and internal workflows became more sophisticated, it became clear that a custom solution was needed. Working alongside our Senior Developer, Shawn Raymond of SwitchClick, we migrated the entire platform to a lightweight custom framework built with jQuery, eliminating the need for a traditional database while dramatically increasing performance, flexibility, and speed of development.
Today, the website powers an advanced interactive product configurator featuring more than 129 architectural lighting fixtures, each with dozens of configurable options including dimensions, finishes, shade materials, colour temperatures, mounting styles, and other product-specific variations. As users customize a fixture, the system dynamically generates an accurate product code that can be submitted directly to Barbican’s sales team for quotation.
What began as a customer-facing quoting tool has become an essential part of Barbican’s daily operations. Sales representatives rely on the configurator to build accurate product specifications, while internal staff use it as the authoritative source for product configurations, replacement parts, and technical support. It has become a central business tool used throughout the organization.
This project demonstrates what can happen when technology is designed around people and processes rather than simply replicating a printed catalogue online. Every enhancement has been driven by one question:
“How can we make this easier for both the customer and the people who support them?”
The result is a platform that continues to evolve alongside the business—improving customer experience, increasing efficiency, and supporting Barbican’s reputation for exceptional architectural lighting solutions.

Originally located in Caledon East, Ontario as Gona Electric, Banja built its website, and managed its Google Ad Word account. When the company relocated to Nova Scotia in 2019 – Banja navigated the digital move, from Gona Electric to Jaff Electric, migrating content, to new website, and migrating the Google Ad Word account.
Caledon Public Library – Caledon, Ontario
Client Since: 2018
Caledon Public Library needed a new website. Working with them to develop a proper proposal, they realized, that they could hire Banja as a consultant, to teach them how to manage WordPress, and learn how to work as a team to migrate all content to the new platform, and adjust what needed to be done. Essentially, Banja provided the heavy lifting, and the in house team input the assets. Over 9 months, to complete this process, and when launched the in house staff were already trained to run with it on their own.

This library heard about the work we did with Caledon Public Library, and hired our team as consultants, to work in tandem with them to build a website that properly reflected their community, and met all accessibility, requirements.
